Robin Bertucci (MBA ’13) shares her experience of landing a supervisor position with LSG SkyChefs because of the Decision Making coursework with Professor Enrique Mu.
My final interview for an Operations Supervisor position with LSG SkyChefs consisted mainly of questions about concepts I learned in the Decision Making for Leaders course. While I may not have had actual work experience with these concepts (as a prior social worker), the lessons and methods were so relevant and critical to the job interview that I was able to impress my interviewers. They have offered me the job and they informed me it was based largely on my interviews!
I just wanted to thank you for preparing me for such a wonderful road ahead! It really was amazing that the questions the interviewers asked felt almost word for word what I learned in class. For example, “Do you think intuition is more important than using objective data?” I almost felt like someone from Carlow was watching me behind a two-way mirror!

Daniel Riley’s (MBA’13) thank-you note ~~
Dr. Chung / Dr. Mu,
As my final semester is coming to a conclusion, I wanted to make sure that I thanked you both for an absolutely amazing experience. This degree represents one of my greatest lifetime endeavors and the feeling of accomplishment is almost too great to put into words.
I never knew that I would gain so much from this program and I feel lucky to have been a part of it. In some ways, it is going to be hard to leave it behind.
Thanks for all of your support along the way and best wishes going forward.
