Howard Stern named CIO of the Year

Howard A. Stern, PhD, the 2011 executive-in-residence for the Carlow MBA Program, has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Year by the Pittsburgh Technology Council and the Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group.

An adjunct professor at Carlow where he teaches “Introduction to Political Science” and “Politics and Technology,” an interdisciplinary course developed in conjunction with the School of Management, Stern is the director and CIO for the City of Pittsburgh. This summer, he will teach “Advances in IT” and “IT Management” in the MBA program.
